- Provides overall leadership of the National Committee and its Presidium and directs their work toward supporting the development of mechanics and related sciences in Ukraine.
- Organizes implementation of the Committee’s core tasks: coordination of research, stronger interaction among mechanics researchers, international scientific cooperation, and dissemination of scientific and technical information.
- Maintains the Committee’s relations with the NAS of Ukraine, national sectoral academies, public authorities, the scientific community, and business organizations.
- Represents the Committee in IUTAM and other international organizations in mechanics and related sciences.
- Organizes work on improving the Committee’s regulatory framework and proposals concerning research development, practical implementation of results, and training of qualified researchers.

- Maintains relations with Ukrainian technical higher-education institutions on research coordination, scientific forums, training of specialists, and dissemination of scientific and technical information in mechanics.

- Supports cooperation with research institutions, higher-education institutions, research-and-production enterprises, and business organizations in the Dnipro region.

- Leads development of the Committee’s international scientific cooperation and, together with the Chair, represents the Committee in IUTAM and other international organizations in mechanics and related sciences.
- Supports relations with international professional associations, including ASME and GAMM.
- Supports cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv on research coordination, scientific forums, training of specialists, and dissemination of scientific and technical information.

- Maintains relations with the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Ukraine and other Ukrainian public scientific organizations.

- Maintains relations with the Division of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering of the NAS of Ukraine and NAS research institutions on research coordination and dissemination of scientific and technical information in mechanics.
- Coordinates the Committee’s work on organizing scientific forums in mechanics and related sciences.
Scientific Secretary of the Committee

- Coordinates organizational preparation of General Meetings and Presidium meetings and preparation of their decisions.
- Prepares annual and forward work plans, maintains Committee documentation and correspondence, and ensures preservation of the archive.
- Maintains the Committee website and distributes information on scientific forums, including IUTAM events, and promising scientific and technical developments.
- Prepares annual reports on Committee activities for the NAS of Ukraine and information summaries on the activities of Committee members.
