Logo and visual identity

The official logo of the S.P. Timoshenko Institute of Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine was approved by the Scientific Council on 15 September 2026 and by a Director’s order dated 15 September 2026.

Approved version

The logo is a horizontally oriented oval emblem using dark blue, gold and light neutral tones. Its central field contains a stylised graphic portrait of Stephen P. Timoshenko, together with KYIV / КИЇВ and EST. 1918.

The lower inscription reads“S.P. TIMOSHENKO INSTITUTE OF MECHANICS, NAS OF UKRAINE”. The wording, composition, proportions and principal colour scheme are to be reproduced in accordance with the approved reference artwork.

Approval of the Institute’s logo

The order approves the logo and its description as the official visual identity element of the Institute and requires use of the approved electronic originals on the Institute’s official website and other official materials.

  • The composition, proportions, inscriptions and principal colour scheme must not be altered arbitrarily.
  • Scaling is permitted only with the proportions preserved.
  • Monochrome or other special versions may be used when required by reproduction technology, provided that the core composition and recognisability are retained.

Reference artwork

Logo description

A dark-blue oval band with gold edging carries the Institute’s Ukrainian name above and its English name below. The light central field contains the portrait of S. P. Timoshenko, with “KYIV / КИЇВ” to the left and “EST. 1918” to the right.

Deformation, changes to the wording, alteration of the aspect ratio, arbitrary colour changes or rearrangement of graphic elements are not permitted.
