On 12 September 2023, a reporting and election General Meeting of the National Committee of Ukraine for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics was held in Kyiv, both in the Grand Conference Hall of the NAS of Ukraine and online.
Main outcomes
The meeting considered the Committee’s report for 2014–2023, approved it, and assessed the work of the Presidium as satisfactory. New Committee members were elected and the governing bodies were renewed.
Following an open vote, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Viacheslav Bogdanov was elected Chair. Mykola Bobyr, Anatolii Bulat, Yaroslav Zhuk, Roman Kushnir, and Volodymyr Nazarenko were elected Deputy Chairs. Mykhailo Selivanov was elected Scientific Secretary.
The meeting also approved the membership of the Presidium and reaffirmed the Committee’s international role in its cooperation with IUTAM.
